Arlington: Rocking Horse

What to Expect

The Rocking Horse padsite will be located on 2.28 acres of undeveloped land off South Collins Street and Caplin Drive in Southeast Arlington. To date, one well has been drilled on this site. Chesapeake anticipated resuming drilling activities on this site beginning in early 2011.

Check back soon for updates on this site.

Development Plan

Chesapeake is working with the property owner of the Rocking Horse padsite to ensure that drilling at future development of this location can coexist. The drillsite will sit at the southern portion of the property and will eventually be surrounded by development along both Caplin and South Collins. Upon drilling completion, the pad will shrink to 1.9 acres.

Chesapeake is committed to using industry advanced technology at the drillsite to minimize any potential impact to the area. To ensure that our drilling operations are as unobtrusive as possible, state-of-the-art sound mitigation techniques are used to effectively reduce the sound emitted by the drilling  process. Additional landscaping is planned along the frontage of South Collins Street to shield the site from the road and help beautify the property.
