Fort Worth: Stockyards Plan

What to Expect

Chesapeake Energy Corporation has created a proposed development plan for two padsites in the Stockyards area. These padsites, located away from the Historic Stockyards area, afford Chesapeake the ability to produce wells without having to locate an additional padsite within the Historic Stockyards District.

Chesapeake's Stockyards padsite is located near the intersection of Main Street and East Central Avenue. To date, two wells have been drilled on this site. Chesapeake's proposed Bunge padsite is located near the southeast corner of NE 23rd Street and Niles City Boulevard. To date, no wells have been drilled on this site.

Check back soon for updates.

Development Plan

The Stockyards padsite and proposed Bunge padsite have the ability to produce over 2,117 mineral acres in Fort Worth District 2, eliminating the need for a padsite in the Historic Stockyards District.

Stockyards

Chesapeake has drilled and completed two wells on at the Stockyards padsite, the Stockyards 1H and the Stockyards 2H.  Six more wells are proposed for this site. The Stockyards, Stockyards South, Superbowl and Bunge West units that will be accessed from this site have the ability to produce over 1,490 mineral acres for area mineral owners.

Bunge

Chesapeake's proposed Bunge padsite is currently in the permitting process. This muliti-well padsite will include five proposed wells.  The Stockyards and Bunge units that will be accessed from this site have the ability to produce over 620 mineral acres for area mineral owners.

Chesapeake is working closely with the City of Fort Worth to ensure that drilling operations are as safe and as unobtrusive as possible. Sensitive to neighbor's concerns, Chesapeake will use state-of-the-art sound mitigation techniques at this site to reduce any sound emitted.

Proposed plan subject to change and contingent on leasehold development.
