As a major participant in the state’s energy industry for more than a decade, Chesapeake’s 685 Louisiana wells produced in excess of 34 billion cubic feet of natural gas equivalent in 2008. In addition, we paid more than $29.5 million in royalties to Louisiana royalty owners and $63 million in taxes.
