Pierpont Community and Technical College and West Virginia Northern Community College have joined forces, announcing the new Appalachian Petroleum Technology Training Center. Geared to prospective oil and natural gas industry employees, the schools have created an educational package that will put workers in the field with hands-on experience under their belts and official certifications in their pockets.​

Kris Osecky, Drilling Safety Representative II, was named Chesapeake’s May’s H.E.L.P. Champion in recognition for his extensive volunteer work over the last 17 years with the Mount Morris Volunteer Fire Department (MMVFD).​

Chesapeake welcomed its shareholders to its corporate headquarters earlier this month during its Annual Meeting of Shareholders. Led by Chairman Archie Dunham and Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President - Operations and Geoscience Steve Dixon, the event focused on the future while noting the change the last year had brought.​

Chesapeake Energy Corporation announced that Robert “Doug” Lawler will join the company as its Chief Executive Officer effective June 17.​
